Metaquery is an Informatica tool to query against PowerCenter repository for some of the key properties in session, workflow, and mapping objects. This tool is helpful to gather information regarding properties set in any of these objects(like session or workflow) and get the output report exported into a readable excel sheet or text file.

Debugging Tools

Metaquery (New)
Metaquery is an Informatica tool to query against PowerCenter repository for some of the key properties in session, workflow, and mapping objects. This tool is helpful to gather information regarding properties set in any of these objects(like session or workflow) and get the output report exported into a readable excel sheet or text file.

Infalogs (New)
Informatica support spends lot of time collecting different logs to debug issues arising in your PowerCenter environment. Especailly in PowerCenter 8.x multiple logs need to be analyzed to troubleshoot one issue. InfaLogs can help you collect these logs easily and completely and put it in one zip file. The output zip file can be sent to support for troubleshooting. This utility helps us to resolve the problems faster.

Compare Utility (New)
Compare Utility is a test tool to validate upgrades or simply compare between 2 instances of PowerCenter. Some of the things you may do with the tool include:

Compare the relational and flat file outputs of any workflows pre and post upgrade for differences.
See how your repository objects have been affected by the upgrade.
Generate reports detailing any differences that were found.

Log Reader
Log Reader helps the users to extract meaningful and necessary information from PowerCenter log files (Session Logs, Repository server and agent logs, pmserver logs) by color coding the errors and informational messages. It has links to the error messages and helps to quickly search through the list of known causes for a particaular error in the Knowledge Base.

Performance Analyzer Tool
Performance Analyzer is a utility that analyzes the performance of mappings and session with the help of the mapping XMLs. This utility helps in allocating minimum bytes required for data cache, index cache and DTM buffer size for better and efficient performance.

pcxslt Tool
This is a custom transformation (Applicable to PowerCenter versions 7 or higher) to apply XSL stylesheet to an XML source or target.

ssgmapi Tool
PowerCenter sends email on Windows using the Outlook profile defined in the Server. This tool helps to validate the email setup on Windows.

ssgsqlconnect Tool
This tool helps to test SQL Server native connection in Windows environment.

memfree Tool
The Informatica GCS memfree utility is an executable that determines the maximum amount of memory that can be allocated by a 32-bit process on a Unix machine.

ssgtcp Tool
This tool helps verify tcp/ip connection between two hosts. It would be useful to verify connectivity between Powercenter Client , Server and Repository Server.

ssgodbc Tool
When Informatica PowerCenter session connects to different sources using ODBC it may fail with errors. Informatica works with any ODBC level-2 compliant drivers. To verify if the issue is with the ODBC driver being used you can use ssgodbc to test the connectivity outside PowerCenter.

pmstack Tool
The pmstack utility is a Unix script file that retrieves the stack trace from a core file or hanging process and creates an output file that can be sent to Informatica support for analysis of the problem.

sscan Tool

The purpose of this utility is to collect all the system, environment and the product details on the machine hosting Informatica PowerCenter. The output produced by the utility needs to be sent to Informatica Customer Support for more detailed analysis.
